How old before Brahman bull starts breeding cattle

That is a good question for the breeder. If they can't tell you then it's probably a sign to pass.

How old is a long yearling? What weight is he? What were his scrotal measurements? Did he pass his BSE?

I was told by a Brahma breeder they needed to be around 2 . She said they were late maturing. She raised registered grey and reds .
How old is this "long yearling"? Unless he is 18 mos now, he might not do you much good this spring. What kind of cows you have?
22 months old, weighs 1250, didn't get scrotal measurements and yes he passed his BSE.
Breeder said he was I just asking around.

If he's fertile, 22 months old now, doesn't need a step ladder to service your cows, and he's interested in being a bull... you should be good to go.
Well, if he is 22 months now, he will be 2 this spring and should be ok on just 12 cows.

Well from that he should be good to go. The scrotal measurement is part of the BSE and should be on his certificate from the Vet.
