We are raising some holstein bull calves-now steer calves. They are being fed milk from our jersey cows. They have it free choice and are starting to get good quaility pasture. We will be adding grain soon as well. What should these guys weigh in Oct? We got them June 30th. I don't know what they gain per week or day. They are all healthy and good eaters. We got them when they were anywhere from a 5 days to 2 weeks old. Just curious what they might weigh.
Thanks :D

I usually count on at least 2lbs/hd/day gain, esp on milk. Might get a bit over 2.5lbs ADG if you're lucky. So 4 months x 2lbs ADG = 240lbs of gain... the calves will probably be around 350lbs in October.

the calves should weigh between 300 an 450lbs.depending on how much feed you feed each calf a day.if your feeding 5 or 6lbs of feed plus pasture a day.they should gain 2.5 to 3lbs a day if they are good healthy calves.
