Hoping some experienced cattlemen can let me know what a reasonable cost is monthly or yearly to lease approx 150 ac with two ponds near temple Texas?

Thanks in advance

I don't know what the Temple area is like, last year I passed on 200 acres for 1400 a year.
Good pasture and hay field's.
That was not a bad price for the area I just didn't like the logistic's.
The problem I seen was theft of equipment in where the land was located.

To give an answer a lot more information is needed, for instance IH 35 is the boundry between the hill country and black land prairie, the west side is rock and cedar the east side is range land and farm land. You will need to know how many acres it will take to support a cow and calf, remember with the droughts we have been having your stocking rate should be 50% to 75% of the normal stocking rate, so figure how many cows it will support then figure $75 to $100 per cow lease.

Poke around a little--literally.
Some of that area is good soil and makes good grass--some of it, the caliche (or worse) comes right up on surface.
