How do you feed mineral?

What I mean is how do you put it out for your cattle or what do you put it in for them to get at it? Just getting other ideas

I use a hanging barrel feeder, simple, inexpensive and portable.

We made 3 of Duns mineral feeders and they work great! Do a search for directions.

I use the hanging barrel some but this past winter I had to keep lots of it out for the stockers and it would have been to much to handle all the time so we cut holes in two sides of empty 275 gal. totes and could load 4-500 pounds at a time and haul them out with a front end loader. Kept a spare ready to go all the time so if one ran out early I could just exchange it. Also bought the mIneral in one ton bags so that made it easy to bring the feeder in an not have to get the bag to the feeder.

I would do that but the trough isn't covered from the weather. Can you do it anyway?
