The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has come to an end for the year, but not without setting new records. I am still amazed at what animals sell for at Houston.

Grand Champion Steer

World Record: $600,001 set at HLSR in 2002
Student Recieves: $85,000

This year has set new world records in nearly every auction. I guess all those rich people really do love showing off their money. They always end up getting into bidding battles so they can show everyone how rich they are.
 
I don't know a thing about these shows. Since the student gets X amount, who gets the rest of the money?

the livestovk show gets the rest.i guess for schlorships an operating expenses.
