i just bought a 530 hesston this spring and its a manual rope tie, im having bad luck getting it to cut the twine it seems like the twine isnt on the table where its supposed to be. anybody ever had that problem? maybe im just doing something wrong im very new to round balers

yea ill check and straighten it if need be, friend of mine said he wore a groove in his cast (broke arm) pulling the rope on a 5530

could the twine arm (hollow tube) be be bent or out of whack somehow?
Yes, heavy weeds or a stick could have bent it. Or rocks, a fence post, grape vines, barb wire. Don't ask how I know. Also a good file occosionally doesn't hurt
