I recently bought some bred heifers and they are due to calve in march for 60 days. I am wanting to get them up and tag them. It will be 30 to 40 degrees so it won't be very warm. My only concern is them aborting would it be best to wait or am I good?

I have 11 heavy bred old broken mouth cows who will be going through the chute in an hour or two. Ear tags, vaccinated, wormed, and branded. I do it to a lot of cows this time of the year. Just have good facilities and do it calmly and easy. Don't get all excited and ram and jam them. They will be fine. Two weeks ago I helped the neighbor run 132 heifers and over 100 cows through the chute. Vaccinated, wormed, and the heifers got new ear tags. Not a bit of an issue and they have started calving this week.
