Busy, Busy, Busy. So I haven't been on here much the last little while. Calving went well for us, we calved out an extra 170 cows for a couple other guys, so that kept us pretty busy through April and May. Then it was time to get ready to do the 4H Beef thing, with DD. And of course now we are into haying. In addition to all that I've been in the process of getting 2 mares bred AI.... So here's a few photos of what's going on around here....
Playing with baby... This is Fiona (as in Princess Fiona)
Showing cattle. DD did a good job on her steer. He just wasn't finished well enough though to win anything. It was a hard day when he went through the sale ring...
Watching the steer show at the Fair. This is a cousin of mine, she won her weight class.
Showing horses or a horse, lol. He was pretty awesome in the over fences classes we entered. Not so awesome on the flat...lol.
Watching some bad weather pass us buy. Seems like every storm had hail somewhere....
Checking out some cattle...
Heifers
One of the Boys...
And one of the other boys... They were supposed to be in their own pastures, but I guess they thought that the other guys girls looked better (don't think that they stayed separate for 1 day )
Some calves
A couple of steer calves that are out of bred heifers we bought SimmxRAxHH crossed back to RA
Cows
Moving cows around...
Making Hay. This was the first field, 90 big rounds on 60 acres, one of our better fields this year... Hay isn't too good around this year, and we are in one of the more fortunate areas..
