Has anyone made their own cattle feed

I'm mixing 500 lbs of cotton seed with 1500 lbs of ground corn right now. Seems to be working good and it's less than $200/ton. Which is cheaper than anything I can find in my area.

They certainly won't lack for energy. :nod:

Any idea on a nutritional analysis? That's what a local feed mill told me to do

What are you mixing it in?

A little over 11% crude protein, 5% fat, 7% fiber, TDN well over 80%.

Kyleg2057 yes all together if your using a good quality hay then mix like I said if you have poor hay add more corn and cotton seed meal. You can see whet works best for you and alter if needed.
