We had a bull get in with a couple heifers that were too young to be bred (12mo.) for about 24 hrs; he also was with two 14-15mo old heifers that are his daughters. My question is what would ya'll suggest for the 12mo. old heifers? How about his 15mo. old daughters? We breed so that the heifers drop there first calf at 24-26mo or age typically. I didn't witness anyone being mounted but that doesn't mean it didn't take place. His two daughters will soon be up forale and we don't line breed (on purpose.) Suggestions?

I'ld keep an eye on them and wait 21 days after he was in with them. If they don;t come into heat I'ld hit them with lutalyse

Same thing happened here except it was my daughters Maine show heifer and the hereford and jersey bulls broke in to her. They weren't in there very long, but it doesn't take long either.

and he probably went visiting for a good reason ;-)

Wait 10 days and give all the heifers a shot of prostaglandin.
