How much corn would you need to grow to make up say 50 lbs of feed, 100 lbs, 500 lbs, etc? I know that there is other supplements that would be added into the feed but what kind of acreage are you looking at for this? I do not do this myself. I rotational graze and buy a little feed for the winter but was talking to someone the other day about the subject. I'm just wondering this out of curiosity and couldn't seem to find much on the search.

A bushel of corn weighs 56 lbs. For the past 10 years, North Carolina has averaged about 105 bushels per acre. That is going to come out to around 5880 lbs per acre.
