Spoke too soon ! Less than 2 acres to go got hail and pouring rain . Been lucky so far so not going to complain.

Glad you got most of it up.... WOW on the hail .... we were 40% chance of T-storms today so worked our butts off last 2 days to get it raked and baled... all that was on the ground was finished last night about 9 p.m. Still got lots more to do...

We did not have as high a humidity as you... but it was muggier than we have had... temps hit 100 3 days running and it dried so fast. We have not been as wet as you. No showers this afternoon... they got some serious ones 40 miles north above Harrisonburg VA.... Greater chances for Thursday and into Friday.... Cooling off a bit... I hope. 70 at night and 95-100 days in June is NOT NORMAL for here...

The dews every night were like light showers . We couldn't rake or bale till at least 11 am for the last 3 days and by 7 ish it was getting heavy .

That's just about everynight here normally. Most of our dew measures in the rain gauge. Usually drys enough to rake by 11-11.30am and you better be finished by 8 typically.

This morning it was 39 degrees and the dew never dried until about 3.30 this afternoon.

We worked like crazy and got all that was down, up by late Tuesday eve... wed was saying T-storms... went all around us... and again yesterday Thurs... threats, clouds, thunder... and it went around too.....had a clap of thunder and a lightning strike, that you thought was right next to you 5 ft away... shook me and usually I take things like that in stride.... now today looks more likely... we'll see.
Got more to cut but been waiting for a clearer forecast.

Hope you get er done ! We have another week of rain predicted. Carried one tractor to the dealer for an issue and the jd baler to another dealer for an issue . So we are down till we get those back and the weather breaks again. .

Never fails the best way to make it rain is start cutting. This am there was a 5% chance of rain. Now it's thunderstorming and we will probably get an inch of rain. Ha

When I cut the forecast was 4 hot sunny days. That turned into 2 days of thunderstorms/fog/wildfire smoke followed by 2 sunny days. So now it's a scramble to get it all done before tomorrow's rain and the forecasted on/off rain and 60/70s for the next 7 days.

Got to love the weather guessers.

Sure do. That's a 115hp tractor weighing just short of 15k lbs. 2200lb is only around half of what it's rated to lift.

B has one of these mounted on all the loader tractors. Picks up 3 3x4x8 at a time and stacks them 6 high. That is 3,300-3,600 lbs on grass hay and up to 4,200 lbs on alfalfa. If I were doing round bales I could do 2 at a time but with the big squares I have to do them one at a time. It is not the weight but how it is designed.
