Gelbvieh - Brahman blood?

I am considering purchasing a black gelbvieh bull to breed my yearling black angus heifers that I am keeping. Does anyone know if the Gelbvieh breed has some Brahman blood in them? I know calves in our area of northwest missouri take a hit at the sale barn with the Brahman ears.

Gelbvieh are a pure Continental breed, no Bos Indicus influence. But, if you are buying a black Gelbvieh bull there could be a little bit of anything in it. Gelbvieh are orinally reddish to yellow colored, the black came from the folks trying to cash in on the black hair phenomenon.
