Brother showed up Saturday night on short notice. Brought a bottle of his home brew wine and a bottle of hi $ Jameson whisky.
The girls went to bed early and he and I sat on the porch till 3am and finished both--something I am totally not used to doing any more.
HAD to be at our sisters' place at noon for birthday dinner. I felt like death warmed over but we put on the good act and ate the cake. Been many years since I got that inebriated. How he turned around and drove right back to Little Rock that afternoon I don't know.
I still ain't over it.
