Gas tank rotor tiller

well its that time of year to get lawn mowers tillers ect started.


Tiller has small briggs and straton engine gas tank has rust and grim on inside of gas tank anyone know how to get the tank clean

Carl, here's what we do -

Take tank off
Empty
Flush out with water, many times
Fill about 1/8 full with gravel
Replace lid
Shake, shake, shake until your arms get tired
Dump out gravel
Flush out with water
See if clean looking, if not start over.

When clean purchase some stuff called "Red Kote" or the line of products from "POR15" and coat the inside of the tank according to directions.

This will fix the problem. I restore old Military vehicles and this is what we do for the gas tanks if needed.

Or if you can find used tank and a landmower repair shop you might be able to pick one up cheap.
