I have an IH 684 and fuel tank is leaking. I took it to a radiator shop and he didn't really want to mess with it. Have tried to find an aftermarket tank but no one seems to have any. While looking for used or after market tanks I saw fuel tank liners one was Red-Kote. Was wondering how well they work and is this something you can put in your self or do you have to take it and have it done. Thanks for any info.

Depending on the size of the leak and location, JB Weld will work.

The guy at the radiator shop seemed to think it was leaking through a previous JB weld patch.
Then clean it good and put more on.I've had it hold up for around 10 years without a problem.

Consider taking the tank to a welding shop. When I welded for a living, I repaired many a tractor fuel tank with a torch, coat hanger and flux. A good repair will last years. Just have them water test it first to make sure you only have one hole.

In weld is your quickest easiest fix. Considering it's already off the tractor, welding is an option, and a more permanant fix.
