It's been awhile since I've been on so here are some updates.
Left for Ft. Worth the 19th came back the 23rd with a new calf.
Pinkie calved Saturday at 2:00pm, it was a little bull calf weighing 105lbs.
His name is Pancho Libre, I'm so happy to finally have my calf. He is a little butt though.
We brought 3 angus, 3 shorthorns, 1 limi, 1 brahman, and 1 charolais.
We had an issue with one of the angus and he was not allowed to show.
When you check in they check your animals tattoo, well my friend purchased his heifer from an uncle,
they dont have a shoot or anything so they had to pin the heifer down to tattoo her, in the process the tattoo was put in backwards in one ear
so that it becomes a mirror image, 217 in one ear and 217 just backwards numbers in the other, he was disqualified.
Pinkie was almost disqualified as well, when I went to check her in they asked if she was bred,
this was two days before she calved udder full and belly huge.
They said I needed vet papers that said she was bred or I couldn't show, I thought this was extremely dumb,
but luckily I had the papers in my advisor's show box.

So happy that all went well and that you have a healthy calf. : )

I have to say that it was not dumb of the show to require proof. The reason they require it is because people cheat. The Fort Worth Stock Show is a big deal and they have to have all of their bases covered.
