Good heavens, Marlin...

How did you get to baling water from the old heifer/cow debate?

I'd wager you could make a pretty penny if you shipped some of your water bales down to the States that are so drought stricken. Just remember...when the trucks are loaded you'd sure want to watch for the Ship High In Transit factors on your permits.

On the heiferette topic, this is a common auction mart term that's used up here as well. Describes first calf cows that didn't rebreed, same as in CRR's neck of the northwoods.

Take care.

Good heavens yourself Annie. Are you bailing snow up in the north country?

If you don't know I ain't gonna tell you.

I'm not much on bailing water unless I'm in a leaky boat. But I'll leave it to the cowboys and indians to bail hay. Haven't they already circled the water wagons? <grins>

...watch for the Ship High In Transit factors on your permits.

Sure thing. And when I'm done with them I'll mail them to you. If they're kept dry, like the Sears and Roebuck catalog, they can serve to keep your runpkin free of the overdue residue of that old used food.

On the heiferette topic, this is a common auction mart term that's used up here as well.

So goes the devolution of language. Have you ever had a cow?

Describes first calf cows that didn't rebreed, same as in CRR's neck of the northwoods.

Yes, cows as opposed to heifers.

Take care.

About what?

CB,
I hope you're healing well after your tangle with that nasty old hog.

The aformentioned poster certainly has the art of "Taurus excreta cerebrum vincit" down to a fine science.

Take care, don your slicker and arm thyself with a shovel... sounds like it's about to hit the fan. ;-)

Heiferette: I had always thought that it is a spade heifer. However, that does not seem to be the consciences of the board. So what do you call a heifer with ovaries removed?

Hamburger. :D

Goverment bureaucrats and academic Ph.D'ers are often confused about the common reality. And what about the greater social construct and the idiotic word, "bachlorette"? In that sense, however awry with logic, why don't they call a heifer a 'steerette'?

In any case, some things -- in proper sexual context -- are instant, as when a bull becomes a steer.

Likewise, a heifer becomes a cow when her environmental depths of discontent are answered by the peculiar visitation of the little swimmers.

"And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived...,"

And the bull knew his cow and she conceived.

That's how it works. The Creator assigned to Pro-creators the fundamental task of fruitfulness. Eh? <grins>

that's the problem with cattleman today trying to complicate things i go by the old K.I.S.S. theory not trying to find out which came first the chicken or the egg. a heifer is just that until she calves then she moves up the latter. a least on my outfit think about teenage pregnancy they become momas after they give birth weather they want to are not.until then there pregnant teens

I think it's ok to use the term first calf heifer. Technically she's a cow but it lets someone know it is her first calf.
This is the only post I made on this. These other "Fred said" were someone elses quotes.

Annie I have been following this thread for a while and have come to the conclusion you are debating a guy that is as screwed up as a football bat.

I take it you don't know what Shipping High In Transit means. Ever heard of the Sears and Roebuck catalog? If you aren't up to a play on words, are you familiar with used food?

So how is your life ruined because of the gentle difference between bale and bail?

Or perchance you bought some swampland in the spooky venues of adult invective. <grins>

Have a good day, there Hoss. You'll get over it in a day or two.

Well, I guess I'd simply refer to her as being sterile. With ovaries removed she'd hardly be "impregnable" since that refers to the ability to withstand attack --- or capable of becoming pregnant. At least that's how this ole country boy understands it. (If I'm wrong I trust Marlin will jump at the chance to correct me. :) ). Or perhaps he knew the real definition and was simply trying out another form of bail-bale wordplay and just didn't feel like inserting an emoticon?

Hi there Annie! I hope everything is going well for you, your honey and the apple dumpling gang. Doing lots of 18 wheeling these days? I don't have your command of Latin; wish I did, as you express your thoughts so much more eloquently. But I think I agree --- in the last day or two I've sure been reminded a lot of the stuff that comes from the south end of a north-bound bull. I'm also reminded of one of "houstoncutter's" favorite expressions, relating to rectal-cranial inversion.

By the way, welcome to our happy little community, Marlin.

a 'batchlorette' is a politically correct name for a gay girl who has male tendances. 'ladette is another term, a girl acting as a lad' Over here a heifer becomes a cow after she has had a calf.

You couldn't tell the difference in a Shanghai rooster from a Durham heifer

In the sense of the allusion, if she didn't come in heat there'd be no bull intrusions into the private areas of her pee shooter.

At least that's how this ole country boy understands it.

What's to understand?

(If I'm wrong I trust Marlin will jump at the chance to correct me. :) ).

People sure are skittery hereabouts. Can you clarify what that's all about?

Or perhaps he knew the real definition and was simply trying out another form of bail-bale wordplay and just didn't feel like inserting an emoticon?

I tend to give adults the benefit of the doubt. Likewise, I can read the hackles on a lap dog.

But I think I agree --- in the last day or two I've sure been reminded a lot of the stuff that comes from the south end of a north-bound bull.

So you're part of an obligatory clique, keen to protect the status quo. It serves your purpose to ignore the obvious undercurrents, doesn't it? On that note, some are more dismayed than entertained.

And?

I'm also reminded of one of "houstoncutter's" favorite expressions, relating to rectal-cranial inversion.

That's hardly a cutting invective. You've already over-reacted and committed yourself to the sandbox.

By the way, welcome to our happy little community, Marlin.

I've no particular personal need for a two-faced welcome at this juncture, as well because the forum presents as a public arena. But thanks just the same, as I beg to note that you're a little bottom heavy and soggy. The forum is obviously set up to self-adjust to a certain common denominator.

In any case, I'll leave you to play out your high-road dumb-down.

"save a horse ride a cowboy"

Speaking of words and their subliminal connotations, what's with the cow-boy thing? Shouldn't that be bull-boy? Otherwise it smacks of the girl-boy thing you just mentioned.

So how's a good girl gonna fare when all the cow-boys turn out to be steer-boys?

(Cattle Man suddenly has a better ring. He wouldn't need to drag along a fantasy drugstore everywhere he went.)

I have never been so confused, well not since I surfed onto a liberal blog site and tried to understand their incoherent rambles. Marlin I think you would do good to Go-BS there.

oh so you want to be pedantic do you, everyone knows the saying 'Cowboys', so 'Smart Mouth' do you know that 'sarcasm is the lowest form of wit' These boards have been used for fun and banter no sarcatic remarks to each other, read Crowders thread 'Do we OFFEND' 'cause quite frankly you do.
You know full well what I meant and to whom I was refering to in my last hit. This is not a spelling test or a competition on who can put who down, so go do a little growing up buddy. as the big boys out there will eat you alive.
