Freshly chopped corn field

Anybody ever put cows out on freshly chopped a cornfield??? I got a couple steers I'm finishing and I have access to a freshly chopped corn field is it a good idea to turn them steers out on it to clean up what the chopper/trucks missed??

Green corn like for silage or dry corn that has been picked. When I have planted corn in the past I always turned the cows in the field in late Sept. After it has field dried and combined , then Sometimes in the poor years I will just let them clean it up with out picking it.

Chopped corn.. They miss a lot chopping into trucks or shooting over the sides
