first time this has happened

In the middle of milking this morning, my kids came in said there was a calf down the road that fell in the pond, thru the ice, (7 degrees this morning) So we all raced down there, was able to get her out of the pond, tried to catch her to bring her home, but she suddenly got all this energy and took off. These cold temps really make chores difficult, tomorrow in the dental chair will seem like a vacation day for me.

your living the life of a dairyman.man i miss those days.i dont miss working all day in freezing weather tho.still have to work in the cold anyway.
