Nice pictures. Just wondering though, is 1120 normal for the heaviest steer at your show ? We had many in the 1200- 1350 # range with a few over 1400 at our fair . The last few years they needed to weigh around 1300 or so to be in contention for champion honors.

i dont think so this was my first year getting a steer so i dont really know much about past steer weights.
but i heard last years were much heavier.
but for our weight requirements your steer has to gain 500lbs. by show
and we have 6 months to work with them and mine was the 3rd heaviest weighing 500lbs. when i got
him. The 2 heaviest steers were 510lbs.
