Some of our bred heifers. They are managed pretty much the same as the older cows are, but we do keep them in a separate group with some of the older cows and a few bulls. That way there is a little less competition for them at the feed.

11 year old Shorthorn cow, she has a very large influence in our herd. We've kept every one of her heifers, and a lot of her granddaughters in the herd too.

Randi - looking good. Always appreciate looking at your pics. See that you have a little snow. We got about 20" between Christmas & New Year - with major winds causing lots of drifts. You don't need to worry about drifts. If it gets windy - it just gets blown AWAY!!!

Things are looking good up there, as usual. Ol' 129 doesn't seem to be holding her flesh real good at this time, but maybe the photo angle didn't help her. Sure can't complain about how her udder has held up!

Hey, thanks everyone. We've been busy it seems. But I think things have settled down now. MO, no, the old girl is really starting to show her age. She's in with the bred heifers but I have a feeling that this might be the last year for her. We'll see though, and I sure hope she has another heifer calf!

I'm a sucker for animals of a different color. I know black and red are most popular, other colors just stand out easier.
I would say she looks like a nice purchase, but I hope that she IS going to be. :)

Nice group
