what do yall feed yalls cattle for them to get fat and to get moor spring rib and rump. for the show calves.? thanks

For the spring of rib, feed them beet pulp and hay. The rest just feed them a good feed that has at the least 12 or 13 percent protein. All of the major commercial brands feeds have a show feed.

Profile has a good steer and heifer feed also.. and if you're a FFA member, they'll give you money back on the feed.

We never got beyond the beginner stage of showing, but we used ADM/Moorman's Fast Forward feed, with their Fast Fat supplement if the heifer needed more cover. The real answer to the question is to buy an animal that has the genetics.
