Hello board,

Noticed this morning one of my bucket calves....600lb heifer has some yellowish / white, foamy, crusty stuff around her left eye. The eye itself looks rather watery. Do you think this is an infection, or is it the onset of pinkeye?

Any suggestions on treatment? The first thing that came to mind was a shot of LA200 or the like. I'll likely contact my vet, just thought I'd fish around here also.

Thanks.

I'ld give it a day before doing anything. May just be a poke or irritated from something. But I believe in benign neglect.

Just some info.

Pinkeye(Keratoconjunctivitis) is caused by Moraxella bovis. Transmitted by direct contact with infected cattle, and or insect vectors(mainly flies).
