How difficult is it to teach cattle to drink from the frost free waterers - the kind with the ball over the drinking area? Any tricks?

When I put mine in last year I left the ball out of them for a few days till they got use to them.

Not long. We put a hammer in one hole to keep one of the balls down for a couple of days.

Hydro powered water pump in the river bottom Constant water flow year round. River is completely frozen over in winter Water still flows on the bottom. Interesting concept and story but now I can't find the link.
