I am a fan of blues music. Old or modern. I am also a guitar player and I know top echelon players when I hear one. This guy has been dominating my play list lately. I would say as far as talent he is a top 3 rated guitar player anywhere. Amazing talent. He has been nominated for a grammy this year. Long overdue.

thanks!

I like blues as well. My grandmother is a big bb king fan and he was here one mothers day sent her and my mom to go see him. Howlin wolf and Muddy Waters are probably my favorites.

Glad to see Joe getting some respect. He's a local boy, very talented. His folks run a guitar shop and he was born and raised on the blues. Phenomenally talented and diverse musician--I would almost classify him as more roots rock than straight blues... Buy this double CD set for yourself for Christmas (I've about worn mine out, so you could also buy it for me ;)

My wife is the blues fan in this family and she has at least one Joe Bonamassa CD.

I'm more of a jazz or swing music (Glenn Miller) fan if I'm not listening to country, but I have listened to a band called Zakk Knight Blues Band.
I know the drummer that sometimes plays with him from another forum I'm on--he owns the same kind of cars we have--Fieros. I bought some car parts from him in 2003. A fine fella and I've had many enlightening conversations with him on line. Doni Hagan. He played drums with Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, and a host of other soul and blues bands. He sent me a pm with his ph # and invited wife and I to come listen to him at King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena Ark in 2011 and meet up afterwards but we just couldn't get away.

He is very diverse. While he is an unbelievable talent in the blues genre he can step out in the rock world or the edgy jazz stuff. I really like his collaboration with Beth Heart.

GB, if you like swing you might want to check out The Brian Setzer Orchestra. It is swing with some driving guitar stuff. Brian Setzer is a well known edgy rock-a-billy guitarist, formerly of The Stray Cats, that took swing to another level. You can see him on youtube.

King Biscuit is 30 miles from me. One side of my family is from Helena.

I love Blues, was bought up on it from one of my brothers playing it all the time, he is a friend of Eric Clapton hence getting into Blues. Joe Satriani one of my fav's. I like Justin Hayward from the Moody Blues have been to a few of their concerts, also seen Stevie Vai that night was mind blowing."Tender Surrender" brilliant. This guy is great will add him to my list to go see next time he is playing in London.
Muddy Waters is an all time favourite from the old time blues.

Joe Bonnamassa tours Europe allot so you should get your chance as London is almost always a tour stop.
