I have a JD 7210 that developed a lope at idle, which I believed was the engine sucking air into the fuel system. I changed both fuel filterS, and replaced the packing (or whatever you call the rubber seals on the fuel line) from the inlet side of the first fuel filter To the inlet of the lift pump (first fuel pump).

The lope went away, but now the engine slightly stumbles on hard acceleration or deceleration and the engine takes a lot longer to shut down when I turn the key off. It doesn't do anything weird other than take a good 15 seconds to stop running once the key is turned to off. Anybody have any ideas on what is going on?

I wonder if your fuel shut off solenoid is hanging up. Not opening fully causing the stumbling on acceleration and not fully closing causing run on.
