Can I expect any calving difficulties with this cross, I know its a common cross but I have no information on the calving side of things. Also what are the advantages of the F1 calfs over a straight breed calf Thanks for the replies

> replies after first calf heifers you should not have any calving problems, a brangus is 3/8 brahma and 5/8 angus, brangus cows are some of the best mothers around, you will still have quite a bit of ear on your calves when you have half brahma and half angus, which means your calves won't bring top dollar at market. a brangus bull on the angus calves would put enough brahma blood in the calves to make them a little less heat sensitive in the summer, and you would get the little bit of extra growth on the calves, you would still market a good black calf which would bring top dollar at market
