Craigslist cattle

we don't have many water buffalo in the states and I've never worked one. Some of the trainers are having a lot of luck by training an older ster with a surcingle on them which is hooked up like a dog collar to stimulate movement. It doesn't take too long for the steer to realize just standing there and sulling up doesn't work anymore so they become good animals to train a horse with
Have you had anything to do with campdrafting on your trips to Australia? It is a big horse sport in rural areas.

I went to a LBL buffalo auction a few years ago .Interesting to see.
A friend I was with bought one and slaughtered it.Not worth what they cost. Every time I see the auction I messaged him to see if he wants to go 🤣

Isn't there some kind of effort up in Montana to buy a lot of real estate and reestablish a migrating herd? I think it has something to do with native management, but the organization is not run by natives.

American Prairie Reserve - buying up ranches in MT and converting the attached BLM allotments to bison, tearing out all the fences. They got BLM to go along with not requiring any land management such as grazing utilization limits, desired ecological conditions and management directed to reaching those conditions, etc. I think State of Montana and some neighboring ranches appealed the NEPA paperwork and the decision documents. Not sure of the status of that mess.

Land Between the Lakes here in middle TN sell bison every year. They have a herd in the park for visitors and sell extras at auction.

Nice to see, not own...
I've seen a few places that sell buffalo meat and at pretty good prices but I think the main attraction is the "health" benefit and the fact that the buyers just watched "dancing With Wolves or a similar movie and are also inviting neighbors over so they cn brag on the benefits of eating "natural"

When I was stationed at Fort Riley 20+ years ago, they had a small herd. Was cool to check them out now and then. Had a small stone table on the viewing deck. We ate lunch there a few times.

Can I get a loan? I would have to buy a new truck and trailer to pick up this gold bar.

For that price they better be the best lil steaks in TN.

This one is.......... delivery extra...

The hauler that just picked up some of our cattle to go to their new home said that's his big $ maker. He hauls a ton of those and people pay those ridiculous prices for them without even blinking. Good business for him but can't wrap my head around those prices or anyone being willing to pay them.

To be honest, I doesn't really matter what someone else would spend on a hobby, any hobby for that fact. I have a few expensive habbits/hobbies. Its reasonable, for a car etc.

Just think it should be listed in the pet section...🤣
