Hello out there. I have small calves and would like to know if it is okay to wean them in a building with a concrete floor. only til they is about 200-300 lbs.

As long as they have a bedding pack to lie on it's no problem, but it will take a lot of clenaing. Without a way for the fluids to either drain off or be absorbed it can get pretty nasty. They also need to be able to lay on something besides concrete to prevent sores.

Why are you weaning so young? The calves will do better on their mothers than in a barn on concrete.

Leave the calves with the mothers (unless u plan on selling them) and they will grow a lot faster!!!
