I am by no means a mechanic and I was curious if the posters on this board could tell me if they think my clutch needs to be replaced.
Got on my utility tractor I use up at the house, a John Deere 950. The PTO can be engaged and works fine with my clutch, but when I put the tractor into gear, it doesn't go, I don't hear it engage, nothing. I just replaced my tractor seat, but I could see no mechanism on it that could cause it not to engage.
Since the PTO is rotating fine, I'm assuming my transmission is okay. Any ideas? Anything else it could be? Your input is appreciated?
