Have a 1530 Deere with 145 loader. Trying to get change hydraulic oil and filter. The fresh oil still looks milky. I didn't get the o ring on right and it leaks. Could I be seeing air?
On my old Ford and Massey I would flush with diesel but I'm afraid to do it on this tractor. Thoughts and suggestions please. Also what's the trick to getting the o ring seated properly?

Milky oil can be a sign of water in the oil? Seals and boots get old and can leak especially if left out in the rain. My JD 5210 is 25 years old and I recently replace all the rubber hoses, belts, engine oil, hydraulic oil, antifreeze etc. as the hoses were getting pretty cracked up (It was about a day's job). On the O-ring use grease as mentioned and use a new O-ring.
