My dad and I castrated my now 10 week old calf 1 and a half months ago. We used the elastrator rings. Why has the scrotal sac not fallen off yet? THANK YOU

I don't think you have anything to worry about, one of these days it will be gone.

The rubber band may not be tight enough, if it's no restricting all the bloob flow it will take it longer to 'drop off'

Didn't mean to hit the response button, but since I am here.... We banded a week old bull calf. It took almost two months for the bag to fall off, but it finally did. About ten days before it fell off, he was feeling a little punky, and I went ahead and gave him some antibiotic shots. At that time, I felt the scrotum to see what was happening, and it had hardened. Not the way the books say it is supposed to happen, but it worked.
