can anyone figure this one out?

we have a beef cattle herd and 1 of our 7 year old cows has a deep red encrusted nose. her bag is the same color, just not encrusted.( they look like hickeys all over them). she doesn't appear to have any fever, she just acts like her nose is really sore. her nose seems swollen too. they have been eating alot of acorns, but she is the only one with this problem. if no one has any ideas, could someone point me to another website?

Get her to the vet. This sounds like a highly contagious disease - Vesicular Stomititus.

we forgot to mention she has a calf on her and doesn't seem to act sore when it eats. just her nose

don't let the calf pick her nose,it may look like a red booger but' it snott. :lol: :lol:

Get her to the vet...this doesn't sound like something that I'd wait-and-see about. Blue tongue has similiar symptoms.
