Calving 2025

Lovely heifer before bedtime. At 294 days was pretty certain that it will be a bull calf, but really happy to get a heifer!

Now just one more left to calve this week and should have two weeks window untill it will get real busy at the calving.
On the other hand, not sure if this one actually stuck on her first AI or second. Her second due date would be on the 1st of May, but she has developed quite a nice udder already and seems rather swollen at the backend. Her first due date would be around now. She's been served with blonde on the first try, so they usually have longer gestation. It's gonna be a real surprise now what she will have as used two very different bulls for each service.
Gonna be her second calf.

Another calf born yesterday. Very much wanted heifer calf from one of the nicest cows. 293 days gestation, so fairly overbacked, 111,3lbs. Had to assist as the calf was coming upside down.

First calf by the bull. Easy calving parthenaise. Soon will have one limx heifer calving to him and have a couple pure parth heifers due with him in June-July.

Bull calf sired by the same parth bull as the previous heifer. 279 days gestation. Gave a slight pull with ropes when heifer was taking some time to push the head out. Good young momma.

And here's the cow.

Calf is 75%charolais, by the same sire as the previous white char calf. Of course, a bull calf... 280days gestation. Calved herself. Very thick legs, but not too big of the body.
