Seems like you are getting more heifers this year .
At first had more bulls, now got some heifers, but the total I would think is around the same.Seems like you are getting more heifers this year .
Your pastures look a lot better. The mud has turned to grass. That's a pretty calf. It will be nice to see it on it's feet and growing.Very special lady born today. Sired by Maine anjou, out of simxlimx cow. 289days, calved herself, but a big calf.

Only the third Maine Anjou calf and second heifer. Add her colour, which I really wanted to get and her dam is a real good cow. So almost a perfect heifer was born. Needless to say I wanted it to be a heifer. Why is she special. Would the cow be special to you?
She sure is. It's the last year for her dam as she started having some health issues, so really wanted that she had a heifer this time. Last year she had a black limx heifer, so one more heifer to add.Great calves. The little roan heifer, potential keeper?
It sure will be. The bull calf should be raised for future breeding, so probably will be able to see him fully grown as well. That is an impressive new mother... It will be interesting to see the calf at weaning.
