Our one and only pure lim bull calf turned five months old yesterday. Second photo with his dam.


Twins are doing great with different moms.


Another two weels old charolais calf out of second calver. Going to be a nice one again.

One more newborn. This time culard charolais heifer out of 3/4lim cow, 285 days gestation, unassisted.

An update of the broken leg. Not a nice one though. With graphic photos.


After a month in the cast we saw that the leg was moving just like at the very beggining.

It doesn't look like it was healing at all. Like the growth plates were asleep instead of doing their job.

One more newborn born early this morning.

Parthenaise sired heifer, 285 days gestation

Probably never mentioned, but we had a calf injure it's leg in spring. The injury got infected quickly and it caused the leg to loose part of it's hoof. Been treating it for almost two months now. Here is some progress made.


Perfect character calf. Can treat her in the field without any issues. No struggling or fighting.

One of the last few cows had calved today. 290days gestation, lim sired heifer. Calved unassisted.

Heifer is sired by the same bull as our pure lim calf.
He actually turned 6months old today. He is a big calf. Currently would give him good 660+lbs.

That's a very pretty calf. And it looks growthy. I'd like to see her next to her dam at seven months old.

3,5months old, growing like a weed!

The only piedmontese calf hit 3 months too.


As well as this girl. Not putting in the blue thread though. Gonna have the last blue calf at the end of the month, so will do an update then there.

The sire is homozygous polled, so she should be polled as well

How warm is it over there? It's hot enough here that people are losing their pastures, and some places don't have any rain coming.

What's your weather like? Do you have any concerns for the newborns or is it not that hot?

It's hot here as well. Got some rain thought, so not tragic. Curently having temps around 77-95°F, which is hot for us. Without rain would have a drought for sure. Some regions aren't as lucky with the rain like us. Even 10 miles away is much more dry than here.
Newborns are doing fine. However having some concern about black coloured older calves. They are feeling the heat.
