He asked if it would work, and I basically told him how we had done it and it did work. It's not what everyone else would do or should do but if he breeds the bull on his cows and then breeds those resulting females back with a Charolais bull it will work. Now I understand that it's not what you would do nor am I saying that you should but it's workable. The calves from those crosses would be as good as any other Char cross calves and you nor anyone else would be any wiser as to what their genetic make up was. If he wants to try it he should try it and see for himself, if he doesn't then by all means forget about it. I understand that this is not the kosher way that most people would do it but it can be done.
