Bloating

My 3 1/2 month old calf has been progessively getting more bloated. At times he kicks at his stomach and abruptly lies down so I know he is having some abdominal discomfort from time to time. His stool is normal most times, not loose like scours. Any suggestions?

I forgot to add that I am got my calf 3 months ago and have been bottle feeding him. I am in the process of weaning him now, cut down to bottle once a day. He is a jersey.

Is he eating any solid food yet? If he is eating hay from some type of legume like red clover, or grazing a pasture with a clover or alfalfa percentage, this could be causing his discomfort.
