I am looking for a Belted Galloway bull and would like to know how long a Belted Galloway bull could be expected to perform. 8 years? 12 years? Longer? Thanks, Dave

A structurally sound bull of any breed should be able to "perform" for many years, BUT, what do you plan on doing with the daughters? Most farms, rotate their bulls every 2 years, because their daughters are old enough to be added to the breeding herd, and you don't want to use father on daughters. Belties may not be able to be bred til they are 3 years old, so you will need to rotate in 3 years if that is the case. Jeanne
