Click on the Cattle Today icon at the top of the page and scroll down to cookbook. There's some good stuff there. I really like a couple of the recipes for the food of kings-Chicken Fried Steak. :D

I have a good recipe for a four pound rump roast. In a crockpot, pour one 12 oz. can of beer. I use Budweiser. :D Add to that, one can of Beef Consumme'(Campbells on both cans) and one can of French Onion Soup. By the way, I very much dislike canned soups, but you will never know it is in there. Slice two onions with the mixture and place four to six pound rump roast in crockpot. Cook until desired doneness. You talk about some good eatin"! The alcohol cooks out of the beer, but leaves the best dippin' juice. I make beef hash out of this recipe too. Can't beat it on home made biscuits

Here's one that I like, fairly quick & easy.

Deer Camp Stroganoff ( A guy I used to hunt with taught me how to make it )

My wife says everything I cook has got "Deer Camp" in front of it, Meatloaf, Stew, Chili, Breakfast Tacos, etc.

Stew meat ( as much as needed to feed everybody )
1-2 med. sized onions
1 - 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom soup

Tenderize the meat & season to taste
Dice onions ( how ever big you like )
Brown meat a little while cooking the onions

Make a large pan of gravy
Add Cream of Mushroom soup
Add meat & onions back in it and let simmer until meat is done.

Serve over rice with some type of beans on the side & with biscuits.
Cat heads are nice, if not then some of Dun's "Whoppers"

;-)
