Barn Pole Repair ?

I now have some 40 year old pole buildings which have about 20% of the poles rotted off at ground level. Are there repair options other than planting a sister right next to the bad ones and bolting them together?

What is the advantage of pouring concrete around them vs. sistering in another pole to bolt to?

Dead leg the rafters above the pole....remove the old pole, dig a hole and plant another in it's place....
