We usually just cut out the backstrap on anything over 200 lbs and let the buzzard have them instead of our calves

With todays prices of meat I ain’t wasting it since it was as sow. If it would have been a boar I’d haul whole thing off

That s what we knew when we had the central Texas ranch. The best eating is a female shoat. We had barbequed shoat at Gary's feed last time I ate feral, and even it was dry and tough. Lots of people trap them alive and feed them corn for a while to get some fat and flavor.

It is SO GREAT to move away from feral hogs, fire ants and Californians that have moved there.
