We have several spots around here that it has gotten started. One place it started in the road ditch and over several years has covered probably 10 acres of an old field. It sure is some nasty looking stuff.

Who would have ever suspected Alabama of allowing in an illegal immigrant?? Glad there is an eradication program for this. Looks nasty.

fire ants came into mobile by ship too. but we got our share of immigrants illegal or otherwise. some speak english but with a yankee accent

South of central Florida is also getting overrun by what we call pepper trees or Brazilian Pepper trees. Cut them at the ground and 5 will spring back up. Birds are spreading their little red seeds everywhere. So thick a hog can't get through them if let alone. They too are not native. Fortunately so far, they don't seem to have made it above (north of )about the Orlando line east to west.
