Anyone know anything about Omaha Steaks?

We had a client give us a $100 gift certificate to Omaha steaks, but any research on the Internet leaves things pretty vague. Anyone have experience with them? Meat quality? Meat grade? What to stay away from? What to get? One thing for sure is they seem expensive...but in my case free.

I've tried it once, my mom got a gift certificate. For the price, I thought the quality was a bit lacking. I can't remember what kind of steak I had, but I just remember feeling like I was glad I didn't pay real money for them.

Have received them as gifts on two occasions. Quality is a little above supermarket. For free, take; for buy, waste time!!

Had some quite a few years back. Weren't worth a damm as far as I was concerned especially for what they cost at the time.

I get points on some product I order . I usually just order the burgers and have a cookout at the office with them , they are decent

Had them at Chances R in York, NE which is a restaurant people travel all over for state wide. They were good but when you have great corn finished beef all over this state I didn't think they were anything special to pay lots of money for. Maybe in a state where all you have is grass fed or your corn finished is not good quality.

Guy here parked at a gas station asked me to fill his van up because he was out of gas and he would give me shrimp and some steaks I told him no thanks I raise my own steaks and don't buy meats out of someone's van. He looked at me like I was crazy for not taking him up on the deal.

I highly doubt that anyone is pimping Omaha Steaks out of vans with freezers.

Haha that's great. Were you driving your SUV and not looking like a cattle rancher or what? Sounds like a weirdo (why couldn't he pay for his own gas).

If it was Omaha Steaks that my wife bought a number of years ago, they aint worth a tinkers damn. Some guy with a freezer in the back of a S-10 peddling that mess. I just pulled in as he was leaving the driveway. I think we are on the same page now as to where we get our steaks. Gave that **** to the dogs. Terrible waste of money.

If it wasn't Omaha, I apologize to them. But if it was, they suck.
