MYTH: In countries where low-level antibiotics are banned, poultry have extremely low levels of pathogens.

FACT: A December, 2008 report from Switzerland, where on-farm, low-level antibiotic use is banned, found a surprising 90% of chickens infected with Campylobacter. Campylobacter is one of the most common causes of diarrheal illness in the U.S., and is usually contracted from eating raw or undercooked poultry meat, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Sounds like they need to get there chickens on a probiotic program. And tweak there production system.
Did not spend much time on the link. Just looked like a pharm company pushing drugs.

So, does it follow that there is a high incedence of diarrhea in Switzerland? This kind of info is invaluable to the makers of diarrheal remedys such as Pepto Bismol or Immodium or Kaopectate. I bet they know the answer based on national per capita sales figures.
