I am going to ask my vet this when i pick up my vaccines but for some reason I just thought about this. All vaccines I have seen state to revaccinate annually. We typically work our caow in mid May, I got to wondering what if you go over the year a week or two? Wondered if you went over it affects their immunity or effectiveness.

My thought is that if you are within a month you are probably ok. Stay as close as you can but I know I do not always get them exactially when needed.

Well those organic folks do not vaccinate at all - so you can be sure the animal will be fine if you miss for a bit.

For lepto the vets say within 15 months or you need to give them a booster again a month after the re-vaccination.
Usually I just aim for 11 - 13 months. Even the first lot, I get the calves in when it's convenient, four weeks apart might be 3.5 - 5 weeks. The immunity graphs show a rapid rise in immunity then gradual fall over a long term, with re-vaccination timed before immunity falls to 'not protected enough' levels. It's going to be different in each individual animal... not a precise science.
