I have come up with a few straws of "FullBack". semen code
AN157. where can I find out about this bull? Anyone have experiences? Thanks Larry D

If memory serves me correctly he was a Select Sires Bull bred at Leachman. Bred to add thickness. He was a fad bull for a couple years. Mostly used to sire show calves. I think around the later 90's. He didnt have much life to him because he was pretty sloppy from what I remember. Much better bulls have come out since him. If you notice he does'nt seem to show up in many current pedigrees either. If you look up his numbers youd probably find him to be pretty weak with a lot of holes. I'd bet he was low on milk.

I have a Fullback cow. She is 9 years old and is breaking down quite a bit. She is long, thats all I can say good about her now. This might be her last year. She produces a great calf and used to be a good looking cow. I have other 9 year olds that have not broke down as much as she has.

I don't have any personal experience with him, but I've heard several Angus breeders say that his daughters had sloppy udders. Otherwise, they liked the muscularity and style of the cattle.

This guy? Rito 9FB3 of 5H11 Fullback Reg: #+11223766

Or his sire? Leachman Fullback Reg: #9493081

We used 9FB3 some. We really liked the bulls, but there was a problem getting semen. I think they were having trouble getting him to produce? By the time he was available again, we had moved on to a more productive bull. Plus his marbling EPD is negative. He sired big cattle and was popular with the show crowd. I know we didn't keep any females, but don't really remember if any were born here. I do remember the bulls did well on test and sold pretty well. If you go to the Angus link below and paste in the registration #, you'll find the owners of the bull. Contact them for info.

Considering the size issue, it's interesting that Tim Ohlde is listed as a co-owner.
