At what age would an Angus steer and heifer weigh 500lbs. I know the true answer is, "it depends." I realize that, but considering best case situation with health and feed, at what age will that weight typically be obtained?

A good rule of thumb for better angus genetics is around 100 lbs for each month of age, so about 5 months old for a 500 lb animal. Applying your "it depends", can be less, can be more.

I would have thought 4 - 5 months would be quiet reasonable.
I have a steer here at about 530lbs at 140 days or 4.6 months, but as you say, "it depends."
If you can find a benchmark daily gain figure to start with you can work it out quiet easily.
Start with 500lbs - birth weight of 80lbs? give you 420lbs then divide that by 3lbs per day maybe gives you 140 days.
Hope I have been helpful :)
