I just purchased some Wrens Abruzzi rye to plant and it has weevils. The vendor says the seed is treated. Do you think the seed will be ok to plant or do you think the weevils have been eating it?

Does the bag say it's treated?? Set it down and watch for dead weevils OR plant it in a hurry.

put 100 grains in a pie pan , cover it with a wet paper towels and keep it wet for a few days , see how many germinates , this will give you your germination rate for the 100 seeds. I have done this many times on seed , If it is this years harvest , I 'd say its ok , bugs can find it fast in the time from harvest to fall, but it will still be good, if you determine the germination is low, compensate buy planting a higher rate
